Applying for a Norwegian ID number, and why?

If you are a foreign citizen you should book an appointment with the Service Centre for Foreign Workers in Oslo as soon as possible after your arrival.

You can report your relocation to Norway and at the same time get a Norwegian identification number.

This allows you to:

Step One

Book an appointment with the Service Centre for Foreign Workers in Oslo for notifying them of your relocation to Norway.

Step Two

Bring a copy of the letter with your Norwegian ID number to your local student adviser.

Update of personal info

Since a Diploma is only issued once, it is important that Oslo National Academy of The Arts has the correct information about you. Please update your information if it has changed or if you have obtained a Norwegian national security number since beginning your studies at KHiO.
