Journals
The library subscribes to approximately 215 journals, in Norwegian, English and other (European) languages. The most recent issue of a journal is not for loan, but may be photocopied. Older issues can be lent for one week. The latest issues are arranged alphabetically by title and kept on open shelves in the libraries, while back issues are kept either underneath the shelves or in the stacks. Ask the librarians if you need older journals.

Bibliographic art databases
The databases ABM and daai (below) register and index the content of many journals the libraries subscribe to. You can use these databases to search
for information on artists and their work and on other art related topics. A bibliographic reference often contains an abstract
and information on where the article is published. By checking the list of journal holdings you can see if one of the libraries
owns the journal you need. You may at any time ask a librarian for help to search the databases or find the correct journal
issue.
Most journals are indexed in the following databases:
ARTbibliographies Modern (ABM)
Search 300,000 references from journals and exhibition catalogues. ABM is a useful database for information on young artists
who are not yet established. Available from the Fine Art Library and the Design and Crafts Library only!
daai - design and applied arts index.com

Library only!
ISI- Web of SCIENCE: Art & Humanities
